Is oral sex harmful? Oral sex performed is not harmful if proper hygiene is taken. Getting rid of the smegma by pulling back the prepuce or cleaning the secretions surrounding the clitoris by water is essential. Man to woman oral sex, cunnilingus, is sexually exciting to the woman and can be practiced if there is no vaginal infection. Same is the case with woman to man oral sex called felatio.
