Excimer Laser
Photo–Refractive Keratectomy (PRK).
Bhaskar Vision Pvt. Ltd. introduces at NIO, the revolutionary Excimer Laser Technology for treatment of Myopia (short–sightedness i.e. Minus Number) and Astigmatism. It is now possible for people with these conditions to see the world without spectacles or contact lenses.

Excimer is a Laser beam of ultraviolet rays of 193 nm wavelength, which reshapes the surface of the cornea. Being completely Computer–Controlled, it is accurate, more predictable and more precise than older methods.

Corneal Topography
  • An essential procedure in Keratoplasty surgery and Excimer Laser.
  • High degree of precision when dealing with delicate corneal tissue.
  • It takes only a few seconds to perform, having no untoward effects on the neighboring tissue.
  • It is an Out–patient Procedure, safe and painless.
Eligibility for Treatment
  • Anyone over 18 years of age with a minus spectacle number ( Myopia) stable for over a year.
Pre–Procedure
  • A thorough eye examination includes indirect Ophthalmoscopy, Psychiatry and Corneal Topography.
Treatment
Preparation of the eye PRK takes approximately 5 minutes and the laser treatment itself just a few seconds. The procedure is done under local anesthesia. Some sensitive patients may need painkillers.
