Ayurveda emphasises curing illnesses and improving health using dietary and lifestyle changes, herbs and yoga postures. The various facets of ayurveda will be dealt with in a lecture series called ‘Dhanwantari Tumchya Ghari’ organized by the city chapter of the BAMS Graduates Association on May 25.
“Ayurveda not only addresses specific health concerns but can also explain why every person responds differently to the treatment. We hope that this lecture series will encourage people to embrace ayurveda and gain further insights in health matters”, said Dr. Aruna Joshi, president of the association.
The lecture series will deal with topics such as lifestyle after the age of 40, food as therapy, home remedies for obesity, stress management, spondylitis, knee problems, back pains etc.
The lecture series will be held at Bharat Natya Mandir in Sadashiv Peth at 5 pm. Entry is free but registration is compulsory, said Joshi.
