If you are a person who cannot move out of home or are caught in an emergency situation and don’t have the access to diagnostic facilities then fret not. You just need to dial the help line number 65000247. This Speedy Turn Around Time (STAT) 24x7 mobile diagnostic service is especially made to help you get the diagnostic tests done without difficulty.
Healthseva launched its first mobile diagnostic service in Pune in Jan 2008. STAT collects pathology samples, processes digital X-Rays and digital ECGs on the spot. These days it ahs been conducting nine to ten X–Rays and 30 other tests in a day.
Pradeep Nakhate, the brain behind the project said, “There was a common feeling of concern for the well being of the aged relatives and this concept has been introduced just for that,” mentioned Nakhate.
The Healthseva team comprises of centre doctor managers, trained and qualified technicians and a list of associate specialists of medicine, gynaecology, pathology, radiology and cardiology.
We also work with other professionals such as ophthalmologist, orthopaedicians and others on a camp programme dedicated only for senior citizens. I am happy to say we have successfully done 7 camps at Kothrud and Viman Nagar for ophthalmology, cardiology, diabetes and gynaecology. The cost of the mobile service is higher by 30-40 per cent than other centres.
How it works
The STAT van has a digital X–Ray CR system, ECG and other equipment along with sample collection apparatus. For an X–Ray, the X-Ray unit is set up next to the patient’s bed and an image is shot. The image is then processed in the van that is sent to their centres.
From there the processed image is sent via the internet to a reporting location after which the report is ready within 20-40 minutes. The reports are then conveyed on email or phone so that the treatment can begin immediately.
All these services are delivered by trained technicians and staff, backed by health care professionals.
