City–based organisation develops website that lets you maintain medical records online
Arogyadarpan provides a multi–modal storage and access to this information on internet through a secured server. These records can also be replicated on a CD for use in case of unavailabilty of an internet connection.
Sandeep Tapaswi, managing director of Arogyadarpan told Pune Mirror, “Arogyadarpan is pioneering user friendly online and offline medical records storage services. It lets individuals access to their vital medical information, that can be retrieved as and when required. For instance, if a person needs medical attention while travelling abroad, his previous medical records can be accessed online. This facility can also come handy while seeking second opinions.”
Talking about the inspiration behind this web–portal, Tapaswi said, “Once a senior citizen living in my neighbourhood was in a serious condition and I rushed him to a hospital. When the doctors asked me about his medical history, I realised the importance of having one’s medical documents in place. After that incident, I started working on this concept.”
