IN THE EYE OF A STORM: Nair hospital at Mumbai CentralOn Friday, Bhargavi started having problems in breathing. “Even after telling the nurse about the problem, all she did was give her some medicine. A doctor arrived late and tried to help her breathe. But she expired two hours later,” said Sumedh Jadhav, a relative.
The post–mortem do not reveal much, say the Agripada police. “We are conducting an inquiry. If hospital staff were negligent, then strict punishment will be given to the culprit,” said Dr Ravi Rananavare, dean of Nair Hospital.
