After Balrampur hospital, Veerangana Avanti Bai hospital will start music therapy for its patients. For this, music systems and speakers were installed in the wards and corridors of the hospital on Sunday.
Chief medical superintendent Dr Meenu Sagar said, "Calm music has a soothing and relaxing effect on human body and soul. It eases tension and a relaxed body responds better to the treatment. We expect good results from this therapy."
"The patients and attendants get fed up with illnesses. When they hear soothing music, they feel relaxed," said a senior doctor at Balrampur hospital. He admitted that after the introduction of music therapy in the hospital, incidents of clashes between patients and doctors and medical staff have come down.
