He was in the city to attend the special animal health camp at Vadodara Veterinary Polyclinic, on Wednesday.
Dr Patel said: "A team of representatives from the Planning Commission of India have discussed the organisation and its results and the same have been documented as well.
Later, they intend to implement the same in the other states. They will be asked to follow the Gujarat model.
We at the Animal Husbandry Department are all set to make Gujarat the hub for animal health check-ups.” The department also intends to set up an ICU at the polyclinic.

Husbandry Department, said: "The government grant of Rs 20.60 lakh will be spent on modernising the existing set-up at the polyclinic. An ICU will also be set up to treat the critically ill animals." After the success of the health check-up camps in Vadodara and Anand, the department now plans to organise one in Ahmedabad.
The camp was inaugurated by Major General Y B Mohan of EME School and more than 50 animals were treated for dental and eye problems.
