In case of any emergency or accident, the medical mobile unit will immediately reach the spot and provide the first–aid to patients
In a bid to provide better health care facilities to the citizens, the Haryana government has initiated medical mobile unit–facility in each district.
These medical mobile units function all across the state, even in the remotest areas. In case of any emergency or accident, the medical mobile unit will immediately reach the spot and provide the initial first–aid to patients or to accident victims.
"Medical mobile units have been set up in all 21 districts of Haryana and they will be available free–of–cost. People just need to dial a designated number and these mobile units will reach at their doorstep. There will be a proper ambulance; fitted will all the life–saving machinery, and a doctor and a nurse," Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh said.
"There were many cases, where patients, especially in remote areas, lost their lives because they did not get first aid in time. These mobile units will travel all through the villages and towns and also distribute free medicines to people. Wherever there is necessary, they will also take the patients to the nearest hospital," said Singh.
Besides Haryana government has directed all district hospitals to provide lab, ECG and x–ray facilities round–the–clock to the state residents and has also increased the quota of free medicines being provided to the patients in these hospitals.
"State government has earmarked Rs. 75 crore in the plan budget for the infrastructural development of hospitals during the current financial year. We have issued instructions for the government hospitals to provide various facilities round–the clock," pointed out Singh.
