Medical education minister S A Ramdas on Friday said the government would implement the Karnataka Private Medical Establishment Act, 2007 and a circular about this would be issued soon. This will make it mandatory for all medical establishments to display the schedule of charges payable for different treatments and other services on the noticeboard as well as bring it in the form of a brochure or booklet.
Also, medical establishments will have to report the names of government doctors and paramedical staff on their establishments used for consultations. At Fr Muller Hospital on Friday, the minister urged hospitals to implement the Act in the state and be a model for other establishments.
