The impact of technology and research on everyday urological practices will be the focus of the annual conference of urologists this year. Organised by the Urology Society of Pune, the 46th Annual Conference – USICON 2013 – will kickstart at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi from January 17. The four–day long conference will conclude on January 20.
"Times are dynamic and there is a new technology usage every other day. These innovations have deeply influenced the field of medicine and science. The theme this conference is ‘Invent a better tomorrow’," said urologist Jaydeep Date, organising secretary.
The conference will focus on medicine, innovation and new techniques and methods in surgery. It will also highlight preventive aspects of urological diseases such as stones and cancer.
Scientific programmes along with live workshops and interactive sessions will be conducted during the conference, he added.
