Does homosexual sex cause HIV?

Neither homosexual nor heterosexual sex causes HIV. HIV is a virus that can be transmitted from an infected person to a non–infected person through intercourse. You can’t contract HIV from someone who does not have HIV, so theoretically the chance is 0%.

However, humans often lie or misunderstand the details of sex, biology, pathology, etc., so the trust and expertise factor is important such that, in reality, it is never 100% safe to have unprotected sex (whether gay or straight, anal or otherwise).

So always use a condom. (Or, even better, don’t have sex with someone you don't trust, since condoms are not foolproof and can break.)

The reason why HIV is so associated with homosexuality is because it is easier to pass on the infection through anal sex than vaginal intercourse due to the tissue being more fragile and prone to tearing (nasty I know). This is also a problem for developing countries where contraception is not easily available and so anal sex is performed to avoid pregnancy.

What happens to boys during puberty?

Boy's testicles do not ‘Drop’ during puberty. Before a boy is born his testicles are inside of his body, and shortly before birth they descend into his scrotum. Sometimes a boy is born before one, or both of his testicles descend. When this happens they will usually descend within 6 months, if they don’t then surgery is required to move them into the scrotum.

During puberty a boy’s testicles will get bigger, and as the testicles get bigger they hang lower and become more noticeable in the scrotum than they were before. That is why people say that a boy's balls will drop, but they've already been in his scrotum since long before puberty.

Puberty can normally start in boys between the ages of 11 and 15 and normally end between 15 and 18. During this time a boy will develop hair around his penis, on his scrotum, under his armpits, and start to grow facial hair. His penis and testicles will get larger, and his scrotum will appear slightly redder/darker. One testicle will hang lower than the other to prevent collision with the other testicle, and which testicle is lower may change. The normal penis size depends on how far into puberty a boy is. It would not be uncommon for a 14 year old boy who hasn’t started puberty to have a 3 inch penis, and it would not be uncommon for a 14–15 year old boy who is far along in puberty to have a 6–7 inch penis. The average adult size is 6 inches. A boy’s voice will begin to crack and will deepen in pitch.

There's no way to know when you will start puberty, how long you will take to finish, and what will happen first, it’s different for everyone.

On average boys start puberty around the age of 12 or 13 but the range of ages at which it is considered medically normal for puberty to start is from 9 years of age up to the late teens. Once puberty does start it takes on average 6 years to complete the process for boys. However some changes, such as spread of body hair, facial hair and an increase in muscle mass, may continue long after puberty has finished.

What happens to girls during puberty?

As girls turn into young women they will notice breast development, hair growth, and menstruation. The first change that the female will probably notice is the change in their breasts. Shortly after the breast development she will notice the beginning of pubic hair. Around 12 years old she will notice the growth of underarm hair and on their legs, shaving may be necessary around this age. The females menstrual period will most likely come between the ages of ten and 16 1/2. Once the female has her period, her ovaries will release an egg. If this egg is fertilized by a males sperm, the egg will turn into an embryo (developing baby). If the egg is not fertilized, the uterus will shed it’s lining because it is not needed (this is where the menstrual blood comes from). For both men and women, they may experience a change in hormones that may cause their skin to become oil. This extra oil may result in an increased amount of occasional pimples or acne. During this time period, the female will also grow in height and gain weight as well as form a more womanly body shape (her hips will widen in proportion with the rest of her body’s growth).

If a girl is still a virgin can she get pregnant?

It is possible but highly unlikely. A virgin is someone who has never had a penis inside them.

That depends on just how much of a virgin you are. Just because there was not any penile penetration that does not mean you cannot get pregnant. If a males pre-ejaculate or ejaculate came in contact with your vagina at all, you have a chance of becoming pregnant. This includes his seminal fluids on either of your hands touching the vagina as well.
